Dear friends,
welcome to my site where you can find pictures, videos and other documents from the African countries that I have visited and where I lived for some years.
The images are divided by country, for a purely classification purpose. For each country I have created categories, to facilitate navigation, giving rise to chapters, accompanied by short descriptions of the content.
Some of these images have been collected in books, which you can see on the dedicated page, which also contains other volumes published by me. Some can be downloaded for free through the relative link.
Just below this presentation you will find some quick links (Latest photos and videos), which bring you directly to the images of places where I have been recently.
I am currently in Senegal, where I find many interesting stimuli that fuel my passion for documenting the places I visit.
The site is regularly updated with the latest images or videos.

Cari amici,
benvenuti nel mio sito dove potete trovare immagini, video e testimonianze dei Paesi africani che ho visitato e nei quali ho vissuto per alcuni anni.
Le varie testimonianze sono suddivise per Paese, ad uno scopo meramente di classificazione. All’interno di ciascun Paese ho creato delle categorie, per facilitare la navigazione, dando origine a dei capitoli, accompagnati da brevi descrizioni del contenuto.
Alcune di queste immagini sono state raccolte in libri, che potete vedere nella pagina dedicata, che riporta anche altri volumi da me pubblicati. Alcuni sono scaricabili gratuitamente attraverso il relativo link.

About me
Veterinary science is my scientific background. I worked as researcher at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Milan for some years, before moving on to the humanitarian world. I have worked for some Italian NGOs in many sub-Saharan countries and I have been working since some years for the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) as a veterinarian for Central and West African countries.
Photography has been fascinating me from my young age, more as an instrument of testimony than an artistic form. Today I still continue to photograph looking more for beauty and surprise in nature and in the environments around me.
Qualcosa su di me
Medico veterinario di formazione, poi ricercatore universitario presso la Facoltà di Medicina Veterinaria di Milano per alcuni anni, per passare poi al mondo umanitario. Ho lavorato per alcune ONG italiane in molti Paesi subsahariani e da alcuni anni per il ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) come veterinario per i paesi dell'Africa Centrale e Occidentale.
La fotografia mi ha affascinato fin da giovane, più come strumento di testimonianza che forma artistica. Oggi continuo a fotografare cercando sempre più la bellezza e la sorpresa nella natura e negli ambienti e situazioni in cui mi ritrovo.
