Masai Mara National Reserve
The Masai Mara Wildlife Reserve is located in the southwestern part of Kenya. The name of the reserve comes from the name of the Masai people who live in the areas of the Serengeti plain and the Mara River.
The most represented habitat is the African grassland dotted with typical acacias trees. Most of the fauna is concentrated on the western edge, where the marshy plain is rich in water and less frequented by tourists, who are concentrated instead in the eastern area. The reserve is located about 224 kilometers from Nairobi.

Riserva Nazionale del Masai Mara
La riserva faunistica di Masai Mara è situata nella parte sud-occidentale del Kenya. Il nome della riserva deriva dal nome del popolo Masai che abita nelle zone della pianura del Serengeti e del fiume Mara.
L’habitat più rappresentato è quello della prateria africana (savana alberata) punteggiata dalle tipiche acacie. La maggior parte della fauna è concentrata sul bordo occidentale, dove la pianura paludosa è ricca d'acqua e meno frequentata dai turisti, che si concentrano invece nella zona orientale. La riserva è situata a circa 224 chilometri da Nairobi.
